I am utterly broken, this guy I’ve been talking to for a few months confessed he likes me and I told him the same, yet he wants to remain friends. I don’t know how to feel anymore, I’m disappointed and upset. My other friend tells me to wait because it will be worth it but I’ve waited around for someone for a year before I met this guy and he broke me. I don’t want to wait and nothing happens, my emotions are suffocating and I don’t handle them well, I’ve been crying and the voices in my head are making me have a mental breakdown because it reminds me of what my ex did. I became to soft, I let this guy in only to be crushed again, I can’t please anyone, I know it’s probably me overthinking but the voices keep telling me that I’m at fault.

Seems like you are running in circles "it reminds me of what my ex did". I know, i've been there too. Break the pattern. What does that person remind you of? Who is most likely to be like that person in your life? You should feed yourself with loving people. Don't waste your time anymore.
