Wisdom teeth removal (2)

Hi guys

I tried posting this before but I don't think it actually got posted (though I might be wrong) but I just really need help with this.

I'm not sure if this really falls under the category of "personal" but I'm hoping I can get some good advice.

So, as mentioned in the title, I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed. And when you go to get them done, they give you anesthesia. Here's the problem, I have a condition called maladaptive daydreaming, meaning that I create imaginary scenarios about people or events (real or not) to cope with my reality, and trauma. I know it's a mental illness and I shouldn't like it, but it's provided me an escape in some of the most horrible days of my life, so I never told anyone about it, and I've never seen it as problem, seeing as I keep it under control. However, when someone goes under anesthesia, you tend to day things you wouldn't want to say, things you'd rather keep to yourself. My family already thinks I'm kinda crazy and I've recently started to have them trust me again, and I'd really like to avoid them freaking out or anything like that (since they are the cause of 80% of my mental health problems)

If you have any advice to keept his happening, please let me know, and thanks for reading :)

ok first of all, maladaptive daydreaming is a symptom, not the condition itself. you should seek professional help to determine the underlying cause and lessen the need for escapism.

secondly, i had this concern myself when getting my teeth removed. in my case, i was worried i would accidentally come out to my family.
good news! this did not happen. unfortunately i don't remember the first day much, but i remember mostly just being very confused about what was happening on the tv show. (i ended up watching snapcube's real time fan dubs. spent a lot of time focusing on how closely the mouth animations matched the lines.)
i personally did not have any issues keeping secrets. i was still perfectly able to remember that there were some topics i did not want to talk about. if i got confused, i just erred on the side of keeping silent.

so tldr before you go under focus on being quiet and keep that as your mantra throughout the process.
