do looks even matter? im considered handsome (based on korean beauty standards) and simply strangers' opinions, but im single. when i see other couples, the girls are usually pretty but the guys are ugly. however, in the past, i was rejected by girls because of not being handsome enough (i had a glow up). so whats the fuck?

I think it’s not because of their looks but more of their personality, I mean it could just be me but maybe the girls you ask out don’t like your personality or maybe they have high ass standards. It just depends, you should try to find someone who you really feel something for instead of just going after the pretty girls because “every other man has a hot girlfriend.” You don’t need to be like everyone else, find someone who will love you for who you are.

Looks do matter, but personality and the chemistry you have with that person matters even more! It's not about being the handsome one, it's about finding the right person that will love you deeply even at your worse of times. It might take a while to find that person, but it will eventually come into your life. Just remember that aside from your looks, the way you portray yourself to others (being a cool person, funny, charming, an idiot, a jerk, etc) all that matters even more. Cause no matter how handsome/sexy/charming someone can be, if they have an awful attitude/personality, no one would ever want to go out with them!

Looks is only half the battle. You have to have charisma.

I think they matter but only to a certain extent. You might be interested in someone because of their looks, but there's also their attitude. When you start to like a person or become attracted to them they gradually become better looking in your eyes, even if before they looked normal or not handsome. So you have to take your personality, it's compatibility with the girl you ask out and the attraction between the two of you into consideration. So, while looks can contribute to the start of a relationship they become useless when it comes to forming long lasting meaningful relationships.

I guess this is very cliche, but from my experience I feel like it's true that the most attractive thing is getting attention from someone. so yeah, looks are a positive but you don't get a partner through looks alone
