Hi! Im new to posting on here but I do lurk a bit. I used to chill on some of the chatrooms but they have gotten less exciting since i last remember. enough with the intro tho I have a question and I want some takes on it.
I dealt with some personal problems, depression blah blah blah, but when people talk to me about it, they say everyone goes through this. It kinda brings me to wonder if everyone goes through something of that sort (albeit there are a large variety of circumstances), what brings people to hide it and make things seem alright for the most part. It almost creates this sense that everyones alright except for themselves. You ever wonder that? I wonder what the world would be like if everyone could recognize each others struggles.
Interesting, never really thought much about it and just accepts them as a normal phenomenon.
I think it largely comes from a common-sense, or natural instinct so to speak. We're putting up a wall against everyone else, we don't want to be seen as weak and thus acted as if it didn't affect us. Afraid of being seen in a pitiful state, I'd assume.
The reality in that not much people are talking about mental health out loud could also contribute to the widespread believe that these stuff must be kept bottled inside.
Idk, that's only as far as I can see with the things happening around me.
