Me and this dude walk the same path to and from collage, he's an acquaintance of mine and we talk about anime mostly. He walks faster than me, so he usually ends up catching up to me and he just kinda,,, walks alongside me until I acknowledge him. He doesn't say anything for a while until I look up to realize 'ok, it's him' Do dudes usually do that? It unsettles me for some reason and I have no idea why

UDIlacnilkasnc I'm not even a dude and would probably do this. But more likely to girls I find attractive than casual friends since I'm a very loud and proud "Hiiiiiiii!" followed with jumping on their back haha

The guy may be nervous to strike a conversation or too awkward. So he expects you to notice him and go, "Oh! Hey!" A lot of students, in general, are like that. But I can understand it coming off creepy or weird from literally anyone. Especially if you aren't well acquainted. Next time you see him, remind him he can talk to you and not wait for permission lol
