I honestly wasn't sure if this should go here or personal. But y'know how the whole "Trump is trying to take away gay marriage!" thing is going around,,, ? I genuinely wondered "Well then what happens to the couples already married ??" Would their marriage get nullified, would they be forced to file a divorce, do they stay married and just no new gay couples can-?? What's the deal there-?

Actual topics of discussion is actually worthy to be on Main, don't think too lowly of yourself. Yes, I mean it. This one belongs on Main. This also doesn't belong on Personal, logically speaking.
As for the main topic, I read some articles around and various possible answers were brought up. It could be that there would be no more new gay couples while the existing ones will be able to keep their marriage legal, there's also the possibility that the existing gay couple will have their legal marriage be nullified, and some others I can't remember straight out of my head.
Idk, I'm not american. I'm not into laws and politics either lol.

Ah, I'll remember that. I'm a little new to this website and kinda still figuring out how this works haha
But I assumed it would have something similar to being nullified. If the United States were to revoke the gay marriage laws then it's natural to assume previous marriages would be eradicated as well, right? I was pretty curious on other users opinions though. I don't talk politics much sense I'm mostly ignorant.
