Theres this guy I like, he's really cute, has nice hair, introverted(which i like in guys), and has a really cute smile. But I know very little about him which is the problem and I think Im starting to feel a bit obsessed with him. I keep telling myself bruh why u obsessed with him u know so little about him. Ever since quarantine started I've felt a sense of loneliness and I didn't know how to cope with that. I tried looking back at old crushes thinking yk he isn't that bad I think he's pretty cute. But knowing me Im just desperate for love or affection that is. I lacked affection growing up and I think its taking a toll on me now. Im aware of all this yet I continue to feel romantic feelings for this guy even tho we rarely talk and we are both awkward when texting each other. How should I cope with the lack of romantic affection? I want someone to cuddle with me, I want to be kissed, but with covid and all my hopes of that are decreasing even lower.

Well, I’d say the answer to your problem really depends on how much you’re willing to risk things. As an introvert, I’d feel great if someone went out of their way to text me, especially now, since we’re isolated, but that’s me. You mentioned you don’t know much about him, so i honestly think your best route would be to wait for now so you can approach him personally and get a better feel on him when things get better. I know that this isn’t exactly helpful, but there’s not much we can do besides messaging people right now, and that can be really hit or miss sometimes. At any rate, i wish you luck.

I'll give some facts about introverts

1)talkative if you find the right topic he is interested in(lower success rate if he is shy type introvert)

2)not interested in useless chats like roasting each other, playing with emojis

3)not interested in talking to almost anyone unless there is a reason(gotta get close to him, make a reason/theme for talking, plan ahead, I a 90% introvert talks with my 70% introverted friend for hours)

4)takes really long to get close, and really hard, but worth it

5)when introverts like someone or interested in someone, they make first move, which is usually more awkward than usual, some can do it without being awkward (did he make it?)

for now what you should do is get close to him, text him,

1) but make sure you did enough research on what to talk about(what he might be intrested in),
2) predict all possible responses, and what to repley for it,
3)asking help/tips from him(dont go into personal problems, ask help about things he is good at(movies, some type of art ...)),
4)donot expect immediate result, it takes time to get close
5)if managed to get some replies from him on the nonpersonal helps or disscussion, ask some thing like "so what are you doing now?"
6)there is a possibility to start an intresting casual conservation (but im not so knowledjebe about that)
7)let him be aware of your existance(eg, actively participating in online classes, if there is any with him)
8)also it may not be possible to do it regularly, but if you manage to do it good, such that he too had a good time, for a few continuous days , (it may not happen immediately, there is chance though) make him miss you, not for too long or he will stop caring, for a day or two, say you were busy with something(it will take a while to reach this level
9)and make sure you dont annoy him, and since he is an introvert dont expect the regular chatting to be a successful,(even i wouldnt be doing it even if i had a gf)

Imma give advice from the perspective of a dude. Guys don't think it's weird for a girl that's never spoken to them to like them. In fact guys do it way more than girls especially introverted guys. The thing that you don't understand is that even if you were ugly af (idk what you look like). Guys WILL remember compliments, I've been complimented twice in my whole life by girls (both were pretty attractive) I wasn't interested in a relationship at the time but I will remember it for the rest of my life. Guys never get compliments and if this guy hears one from you, no matter how awkward it comes out. He'll like you at least more than he does currently. The key is just to make it casual just like "Your hair looks better than usual". Even if it is a backhanded compliment (like making a appearance flaw into a compliment) like "your crooked teeth are cute". As for coping with the feelings, as a guy who has a similar problem I can safely say that there is no shame in obsessing about a guy you've never met UNLESS it hinders you from making a move on him. You can't idolize him to the point you lose confidence, just remember that everyone is human.
