so I just want to have a small rant about my partners younger brother and his gf... atm we live with them and its shit they do drugs (cocaine n the like) they recently started talking about buying a house in 5 months so I asked oh what's your deposit gonna be (they said 10k) now here you need a 20% deposit and the average cost of a house is 400k so you need about 80k deposit then have to find a bank that will loan money to you (with current pandemic goodluck when your credit history is basically blank like theirs) so I told them that it's not enough and they don't qanna believe me saying what would I know because while my partner is older than them I'm younger by 4 years. It just irks me that they wanna think they know things when they clearly haven't even looked into it and loans are hard enough to get even with my good credit history I was lucky enough to be able to get a car (also only one of them has a license and the other can't even get themselves to work without help) which is nothing compared to the cost of a house. They also can't pay $400 a week in rent themselves so they can't do a mortgage:/ I know they are gonna get knocked back it just annoys me that they are so stupid and don't look into things before making dumb comments...
