So, once again I'm ranting here anonymously.

I love Durarara so obviously I love Dollars, which is a part of it. I was so darn excited when I learned it had a community IRL. Let me say this first; I love the BBS. But I absolutely despise drrr.com and the Dollars Discord because of how toxic the people can get. The former actually gets extreme because of the anonymity present but the Discord server gets terrible because you have a regular username.

I can still bear using drrr.com because you can chat randomly but recently the Discord server has gotten worse with its toxicity. I've seen old members drift apart and leave, including some friends. Some new members are decent while the others talk weird shit everytime.They have gross mentalities, are hypocrites and try to act ''cool'' by being annoying or ''edgy''. I seriously miss my friends there but I completely understand why they would leave. People just need a break sometimes and it makes me happy that some of them return after some time. I hate how some new members are influenced by some weird 'not-so-old' members and they start shitting grossly too. It seems some of them are trying to be 'nostalgia-tards' trying to assert dominace, calling then newbies instead of welcoming them.

It was all going well until some stalker started harassing me in my DMs, going through my old messages to gain information and harass me, comparing ranks and repeatedly bitching about any of my opinions.I'm not a grammar nazi but it's funny to see them quoting whatever I write in an abbreviated form, in a mocking manner when they themselves can't write anything with proper grammar. I've never seen such a lowlife so persistent after my life. The worst part is that they have been trying to disrupt my relationship with my remaining friends there and it actually hurts when you realize your friends following some stupid shitty hater than trusting you. I've seen too much toxicity recently. They speak shit everytime and misuse my messages to increase my haters by openly posting my conversations without any context. It hurts to know that these new members only follow some stupid Izaya wannabe because he's 'edgy' or shit.

Also, just because you're not underage by a single day, doesn't make you some great senior. If there are members under 18, try to make the place a respectable one instead of bullying them to the point of making them call you boomers. Literally every fucking site has teens lurking. Stop trying to act like some wise old philosopher. If you don't like them, make the site 18+ or something. Also, the angsty teens tryna act edgy can also stop being smartasses when ya'll can't handle opinions or a bit of dark humor. It seems DMs are only for stalkers because none of you seem to keep mature stuff limited there.

On the bright side, I've learnt a lot. I've seen it once again how there should always be a fine line between your online and real life. I've seen who my real friends and fake friends are. I have seen how people think the whole world revolves around them and goes on to judge their lifestyle shamelessly. I've seen how anonymity will always cause haters or stalkers to be extra ''courageous'' and how every place has a toxic person. Seen how nothing truly lasts forever. I spent a great amount of time online, ignoring my real life a lot. With that said, I'll be taking a break from all these and focus on my real life coz they're just strangers who will disappear. And when real life starts sucking again, I'll escape to my online life. That's just how shitty life is.

Sorry that you had to go through that OP, what happened to the mods though? Rule number 5 blatantly mentioned 'Respect our member' and even number 6 says 'Do not be toxic'.

Aside from that, I hope you're making it out of that hellhole called real life. We'll be here, we'll be around when you're back. Maybe not we all, but you get what I mean.

But I don't blame them either because the members get out of hand with their toxicity making even the old members and the original admin leave the server. I'm still glad I can continue to be a part of this community from BBS, which is clean.
