I glew up from ugly to handsome. Now I am 18 and still in school. I am average in terms of grades and social life. I feel that my only strong point is my good looks. Which sounds good and all but, that is all I have, even so maybe not so good. So now I am quite confused. I gain confidence from good looks but at the same time it makes me feel insecure inside. I know the solution is just improving myself and just here to rant. Would like to here similar stories or advices. Thank you.

Yeaa you’ve definitely got to “find yourself” ya know?? That sounds so vague but I think you’re still insecure because you weren’t always seen as “good looking”? As a result you’re not so sure how to handle being seen like that now. I’m really sorry if I offend you. Anyway, for me I found that focusing on myself worked really well. You’ve gotta find your true passions in life, and reevaluate what you’ve been doing. You’ve gotta learn to love yourself, again that sounds so vague & honestly might be confusing. But it doesn’t matter how much validation or how many compliments you get from others. If you yourself can’t see your own worth you’ve gotta make yourself see it!!

Your story sounds somewhat similar to mine. I'm a boy, and I was quite ugly until I turned 16 or so. After that point, I was suddenly considered to be quite attractive. So I went through that "what!? you think I'm hot!?" phase, similar to what you experience right now, but my personality stayed as it was.

But lets forget looks for a moment.

You are quite quick to think about "improving yourself". Why? Do you think there's anything wrong with you? I don't think so.

I am pretty sure that you are interested in something, have some hobbies, etc. The thing is, you probably just haven't met the people who match you... yet. School isn't always the best environment for that.

So just consider this idea: Maybe you are completely fine, and do not need any improvement.
