Problems for everyone at work. (2)

1 Name: CoolBlue : 2020-03-14 23:59 ID:c2dphmQE [Del]

Ive been working at this fast food place a while and ive run into a problem, theres this manager there that helps our boss make the schedule only problem is that she is the only manager anyone has ever seen make the schedule. Many suspect its because our boss and her are dating (which isnt allowed and she has a boyfriend and he has a wife) and that shes using this to her advantage so she isnt stressed by having to do work and school at the same time only problem is there are many other people there who have to deal with the same thing and shes actively screwing with other people and making life worse for all of us. The thing is she does seem to like me to the point of us being friends.

So i gotta ask for some advice here what the hell do i do and is there any way we can end this peacefully ?

Hello CoolBlue

If I was in your place. I'd just go directly to the manager and talk about it. Honestly, I feel like you already know the answer, you just want to assure that what you're doing is right. You can go directly to the manager and tell him that you have some important matter that you want to talk about in private, and when you go in private, you can tell him that you and your co-workers noticed that when making the schedules, the boss seems to always pick ______. "I just wanted to address this concern sir, that my co-workers and I feel that it would be equal and objective if it was just you to do the scheduling, I hope this does not cause any inconvenience to you and _______(name of that girl employee) in any way, because I am just trying to advise on the best and fair-minded decision for our employees in terms of equality."

you can change my words and add yours instead, but here's just a template. OR you can bring a few co-workers with you and talk about the problem. OR if there was an open-forum meeting or some form of feed-back thing, you could say it there.

At this point, you shouldn't be afraid of getting your boss or that employee angry, because you are simply STICKING UP TO YOUR VALUES. And that's what makes you a good man/woman. Don't let this oppress you and your fellow co-workers. :)
