This isn't a big problem, but I needed some advice.
You see, I have this friend, a guy, he's one of my best friends and he's the first friend I made since entering high school. We're like those usual best friends, hanging out, helping each other, and being there when the other has a problem. In the first year of our high school, he had a mutual understanding with this girl that eventually became the reason for our group breaking apart. But, we've overcome it and started again. On our 2nd year, one of our best friend, a girl, confessed to him that she used to have a crush on him, As far as I can remember, she was rejected back then but, a year later, they become a couple. But, this is where the problem starts. On vacation before our fourth year, they suddenly fought and they broke up. My girl best friend was fine, but he, my boy best friend wanted some time for himself so we gave that to him. Then suddenly, he said he's leaving the group we've created, and would no longer be best friends to us. He left without a clear reason and just before the start of the school year, he left a message saying that he's sorry for what he had done but will no longer return for we are no longer friends and he has no reason to stay. I haven't talked to him except about school-related topics for we are classmates. But then. just earlier, he called my nickname (he's the only one who calls me that and the only one permitted to) when we were talking about our group project and how he cannot attend because he's sick. I was overjoyed because for a second I thought, he would like to become friends with me again but then he never send a message again so I just wish him well. I know, for you this is nothing, but friendship means so much to me. I cannot ask a friend about this or even my family, so here I am asking for advice and opinions. Am I just assuming that he wants to be friends again?
