(Screenshot is a picture of their response after I suggested something for the game)

I had a friend in the earlier years of high school. I always perceived her as 'blunt' and 'straightforward', but then I realised that she was just toxic with completely different ideals from me and I began to separate myself from her because of this.

The problem is, lately she's been getting closer with my friends because of a battle game. They're obsessed with this game; they play every night until 1am. I wouldn't care if it was just this, but they're starting to become really influenced by this toxic friend.

When I make a mistake, they used to laugh it off. Now they take every chance to roast and insult me, thinking that it's alright as long as it's 'a joke'. They're also overly defensive of her: Toxic Person yelled at me during an online call for not having the stat build that she wanted in a game (it was just a game??) and when I told the other friends how frustrated I was, they told me 'Oh she was just freaking out because of the game, you should have gotten the build since you suck anyways'.

I'm worried that all of my friends will be taken away from me just like this. I put in all of the work to make these friends, and she just came over and started changing them. She's always been insulting me (calling me dumb, sucky, a b*tch) and now she's making my friends the same. What should I do?

You can be straight forward with your friends and tell them what you feel. If they just brush this away get new friends because people that do not care about your feelings are not worth it. You shouldn't cling to people because they have the right to leave you.

You can leave those friends if you so choose. If them roasting you hurts you, then tell them. If they don't consider your feelings and stop roasting you, then leave them. Don't be sad because it ended, be happy because it did! because now you find new friends actually do care about your feelings!
