A few weeks ago I found out my father was cheating on my mother. It's not the first time, and I already somewhat knew it inside that was the case, because of the way he acts in general. The bigger problem here is: My family's financial situation. My mother works hard to pay for most of our food and house stuff, while my father is supposed to help providing other things. We take care of 8 dogs (most of them rescued), 4 cats, also rescued from the streets, and we have way too many bills at the moment. So, Me, my sister and My mother have been working our asses off, while my father wastes money paying for another woman's stuff. He gets home everyday late at night, takes off his clothes and goes to bed. On top of that, he is an absolute liar, hypocrite, lazy bastard. Its like he's got the worst combination of flaws a human being could have!
And it would be great to get rid of him, but we can't do that now. He's still paying for many things here including our house (not because he has the money, but because he took most of my mother's money, now he legally owns the house)
I feel trapped. I left college so I could help my family, now I'm here, stuck in a place where Im stressed 24h a day, far from my friends, where I can't write properly anymore because I don't have the time nor the patience and where I am forced to pretend everything is ok while working hard to keep everything from falling apart.
Life feels like it's lost it's meaning to me. But I have to endure it. I have to face this head on. "In order to shit fire, one must first chew glass", and that I will do.
If you are reading this, maybe you have it worse than me, maybe not, whatever it is you are going through right now, don't give up.
