I tend to think that education is the first problem of mankind. I don't think we really make children think about philosophy and how to behave. We just make them mindlessly learn rules without telling them why they exist. Better education could solve problems such as racism and sexism. Why would a person with a different skin color have more potential than me? Why would someone of the opposite sex be inferior? The human brain tends to generalize and label a category of human being, which is harmful.

I totally agree with you. Even though they insist that their "education" is one that has been tried and tested for ages, it's not actually comprehensive and does not really delve into the ethics and standards of reality. Like, one thing is how the government enforces the law; they don't actually teach the general/specific rules and stuff, yet they are so hard-pressed on getting their so-called "violators of the law" convicted. As far as I can tell, most of us only know what's taboo: even I don't know to do in certain situations... because I don't know if doing something would get me in trouble - and I'd only know it was wrong if they apprehend me after the fact. I really think we need to reevaluate ourselves as a whole.

In the end, we are all just victims of a failed system.

i just feel like some people cannot think for themselves bc they believe school will provide all the education they need.
i don't know about your country, but where i live mandatory school never encouraged me to use our own judgement.

Well most people tend to digest the easiest thing for them and by that standard they only learn what they see and taught to them, without strive for more information until they really need it.
