Confidence (4)

Hey there fellow Dollars! Haise here.

A question really. Lately I've been trying to boost my confidence as it relates to my abilities (talents). I struggle a lot this and constantly downplay everything I do because I genuinely hste myself. But I know that this cannot continue.

And so my lovely Dollars: What are some of the ways you stay confident and trust yourself?

A team leader at a service camp I went to told me to "stick to your glitter" (there's a story behind it) but it means the same as the phrase "stick to your guns" or "return to your roots".
Never forget what got you started on your journey and the memories surrounding your story so far, that's how I always find motivation to get better at my talents and skills no matter how bad I downplay myself or how much others downplay me.

That's some solid advice. I'll keep this in mind for sure. Thank you so much for your input.

oh yes one topic i used to wonder.

i didn't trust myself to remember stuff for me tbh. but i solved that by either setting a reminder where i will always check (writing on hand, setting an alarm and reminder on phone, etc.).
to trust yourself, ease off the pressure from yourself yes.

for confidence, honestly, i like to overthink. Sometimes if my thoughts get too negative, I would notice and start distracting myself (phone or just suddenly whisper-yell 'dude knock it out' to myself :") -i've been told in a crazy person yes-)
and overthinking the worse boosts down my confidence. but tbh, don't worry too much about the situation at hand.

yes, overthinking provides you with backup plans, but usually it wears you out until you spiral into the pit of depression.

so yes, for both trust and confidence, you can't wear yourself out. it'll do more damage to you than what you think :")
