I've been attending college for a couple of months now and I'm rooming with someone I vaguely knew from church. We get along well, or at least I hope we do. There are certain times when he'll snap at me when he's in a bad mood, but it's inevitable that people that live together will get into a scuffle once in awhile, right? I always find myself finding reason to dislike him internally, and I feel like a shit person for doing this. Is it normal for people to feel this way when you live with someone else? Is there something wrong with him, or is it just me?

I've never roomed with someone personally, but a few of my friends have. Some have had terrible roommates and others have had great ones. Heck, I know two guys who were best friends until they became roommates (it went downhill until one of them moved out).

I don't think there's nothing wrong with both of you, but maybe you guys aren't "compatible" as roommates? I think it just mostly comes down to luck to be able to find a good roommate, because even a good friend of yours might not be "roommate material".

And hey! If you guys split and find new roommates, that just means that you get to meet new people!
