My biggest regret was not telling the girl I liked my feelings. Let’s just call her Cortney Quinn.
Looking back on it she was showing the obvious signs of attraction. I never noticed it back then but, I recently got into psychology and realised how I never noticed although, she obviously was trying to make it clear to me.
Me and Cortney Quinn were good friends, dare I say best friends. We would talk daily, whether by phone or real life. I guess at the time I feared losing my friendship I had with her. Over time me and Cortney Quinn grew distant, she was kicked out of my school and I had lost contact with her. So my fear of losing her had become true and I never expressed my feelings for her.
The reason I regret not telling her is that the worst that could have happened, happened just in a different way. If I had told her I could have been with her, if she said ‘no’ the worst that could have happened was she stopped talking to me. So when I tell people that they will regret not telling people how they, I know from personal experience.
Please never make my mistake, if you have feelings for someone tell them. What’s the worst that can happen? They stop talking to you? You know how that turned out for me. Learn from my mistakes, you miss ‘every’ single shot you don’t take. If you take the shoot and miss, at least you will know you had the courage to have taken that shot. From there on you can carry it as a experience and not a regret.
Thanks for listening.
