I'm so sorry to hear about your situation, Anon. I don't struggle with depression myself, but my best friend has been suffering from it for as long as I can remember. I do as much as I can to help her, but sometimes she admits that because of her depression she doesn't feel I care about her at all. So when your mother says she cares, I'm absolutely sure she does. Trust that she does, and I would say that you've got to allow yourself to accept emotional support.
