Headache Tips? (6)

Does anyone have any tips for dealing with tension headaches? Usually taking Tylenol doesn’t help. Preferably something more usefully than just “get more sleep” would be helpful

Try a different type of medicine because Tylenol doesn't even work on a lot of people. Ibuprofen works the best. Not all medicine is created equal. If the issue is stress then you need to find ways to relieve stress in a healthy way whether that be a hobby of some sort or a sport.

I have suffered from migraines since I was three. Right now I'm taking 2 - 4 pills of extra strength Excedrin. That's 250mg of acetaminophen/250mg of aspirin/ 65mg of caffeine per pill (RIP liver and kidneys). There are prescription medications that you can take such a butalbital, talk to your doctor today.

I have also heard that changing your diet can help though it had the opposite effect for me.

Acupuncture is something else I have heard helps. As well as getting Botox injections in your head to relive the pressure (something that I'm looking into.)

Just somethings to consider. Best of luck to you.

>>2 I tried Tylenol but after it didn’t help I tried Ibuprofen and it also wasn’t much help. I might start doing art to help with stress and hopefully it works.

>>3 My headaches aren’t that bad where I’d need prescription medicines but I’ll let my doctor know next time I go. I’m willing to try Excedrin to see if it help. If all this doesn’t work I’ll try changing my diet and maybe acupuncture

I have chronic migraine and my doctor advised me to limit caffeine and chocolate. If you consume a lot of either, I suggest limiting the amount you have and see if that makes any difference.
Neither Tylenol or Ibuprofen do much to help me, but Ibuprofen does do a bit more. So even if neither really help, see if it at least has some effect. You could also try other medicine, but be careful about what you take.
Also, if you are underweight or overweight, that may have an impact. I'm very underweight and my doctor told me gaining weight may help.

I found out why I was having migraines it was the cereal I feel better after stopping eating it plus there's a class action lawsuit about it having weed killer in it so please stop eating cereal right away
