So I love making art and decided to put some up in my mother’s store where my older brother works. It was up for an interesting and no one bought any, which I didn’t mind I just wanted my art up. My brother calls one day saying that a lady is interested and I’m ecstatic. I tell him to sell it and immedialty call my mom to tell her the good news. A weeks later I was looking for a pencil in my brothers bag and I saw that he had bought the painting himself. I feel betrayed and angry m, should I confront him? I think he was doing it to make me feel better but o didn’t really care about selling my art.

Your brother cares he probably knew how much it meant to you and plus he probably likes the art so maybe it's not a bad thing the lie might be his guilty pleasure he knew you would be happy it sold and he might have wanted the art for himself but maybe it would have been different if he asked you up front? For it and all

Thanks I think he was trying to make me feel better since my older sister does art as well and she sells her art as soon as it goes up. I’ve always kind of lived in her shadow and my older brother can sense that. Maybe one day I’ll sell my art for real...
