Hey, so I've been struggling with some stuff recently and my friends are trying so hard to help but sometimes my brain will refuse to accept it no matter how much I want to believe them. Like they keep telling me to be patient and everything will be okay, and it'll take time for us to go back to the way things were she's struggling through her own stuff (I hurt a friend emotionally recently because I kept refusing her help trying to get her to give up on me because I felt like I didn't deserve help and she's more distant now) and I know they mean that but like my brain refuses to accept it. I'm not taking medication for depression because mom is trying to avoid it at all costs and we are trying to schedule counseling but it feels like it keeps getting put off. No matter how hard I try to believe them I can't seem to do it and it's making me feel even worse. What should I do?

First, you have to talk to yourself, I know it sounds weird but we all do it everyday, whether it's subconsciously or not. Ask yourself, what can you do as a person and friend to better your relationship? Should y'all talk about the little things that are wrong first? I say that you should try to slowly start talking about the small things. Hang out at y'all favorite places and then see where it goes from there.
