So, there's this person that I really like but she's one of my best friends and I feel like if I tell her that I have a crush on her, I'll just mess up our friendship and I won't ever be able to talk to her again.. I think you should wait until she breaks up with her boyfriend. If she also considers you her best friend then she cares for you and probably won't stop talking to you, but if her boyfriend finds out he might tell her not to talk to you again.

I recommend waiting till she breaks up with the boyfriend. If their relationship is strong and you tell her you have a crush on her she might consider you a threat to her relationship with her boyfriend, which could seriously damage your relationship with her.
I also recommend waiting at least a few days after they break up before asking her out. Give her time to process the breakup. You never want to start dating someone before they are done with their last partner. You always want to start a relationship on a fresh slate.
Finally, you should be prepared for rejection. If you are as close as you say with her, there is a good chance she may not see you as a potential romantic partner. She might friendzone you, and you have to be prepared for that. In that case, you simply have to say "okay. I hope you will reconsider in the future, but I understand." and you need to respect her decision. If she rejects you, the best thing you can do for the friendship you do have is simply continue the next day as if nothing happened. Don't talk about it with others, don't act abnormal around her, and simply act like it's any other day. It's important to show her that you respect her decision and it didn't change anything between you two.
