Just as the question says, do you think someone needs a burning desire, a life-long passion and yearning to learn something new? Instruments, singing, exotic hobbies and activities and the like. Is it possible to create motivation to keep coming from no other source outside of your own.

I hate to use the word "force" here, but that's kind of what I'm trying to convey. Can you pull yourself through the rigorous efforts and time to learn the guitar, or piano without a pressure, an obligation, or the passion to learn it prior. Just as a "This would be fun to do!'

And it's super easy to SAY that, and even easier for some to go out and buy a guitar right then and there, but to actually put in the time to perfect it as much as possible. Just a question I thought I'd pose to all of you if you care to give your unique perspectives.
