An extrovert introvert? (5)

Do you guys ever felt that, for sometime you enjoy hanging around with your friends, being the center of attention, but when your alone you want to be really alone for some reason? I'm really outgoing with my friends socially when hanging around. More like personally if you meet me, you never thought that most of the time I would just coop up in my home never going out at weekends. My friends and I would meet up as classmates in our subjects, I would be funny, talks a lot but when at times I would be very quiet and doesn't want to be disturbed that my classmaes would be very startled and questions me if somethings wrong. I'm also not too good with social media outlets, like facebook, or chatting. I rarely even chat and I would chat only if it is urgent like asking for assignments and such, I don't like to keep the conversation long enough to stray off topic.

I pretty much an open-minded person, I like the "new things" just as much as I love the "hipster things", I have friends from extroverted individuals and also the introverted ones. Hanging out at night drinking and also reading books, watching movies, and animes I seem to enjoy those. It seems that there is a switch however, sometimes I want to be alone and sometimes I want to hang out. What do you guys think of my personality? is it annoying or bad? Is it not normal or is there any other person who acts like me. If you do know that person, what do you think of him/her?

You sound like pretty much everyone I know and that's okay. Normal people like a good mix between being alone and being with friends! Even though I enjoy spending time on my own, I'm pretty loud and obnoxious when I'm with other people! So yeah, I'd say you're fine :^)

I like to hang out and talk a lot, only when I find the right one to do it with, I'll be like, very proactive, but if I'm not interest in people, I'll act cold, put a wall up around me and prefer to stay alone.

If I have a switch, probably it's the people around me.

I think that's normal. There isn't a definite introversion and extroversion. You're simply called an extrovert when you have more extroversion than introversion and vice versa. Its actually good to have both, and not too much of just one, so I'd say you're a normal and quite healthy individual :)

the term for this is called an "ambivert", which almost everyone is (atleast I think so).
