I need help, my mom is verbally abusing me. I don't know what to do, I asked to go to this mental hospital to get help for my anxiety and she got mad at me for wanting to get help. One time I didn't want to go with my grandma because my anxiety was up she had a fit and started screaming and throwing stuff at me saying you're doing this for attention you're a brat I'll beat your ass. I didn't talk to her for a week I stayed in my room. If I ever have kids I'm going to make sure they have the best life. What I have, it's scary.

To start, you did a good thing by not talking to her. But another thing you can do is talk back. If she screams at you for no reason, then just tell her why you said what you said in a calm voice.
If she actually physically abuses you, then that gets into other legal problems.

It's smart to bring in a 3rd party and help let that person or people clear up the misunderstandings between you and your mom. Possible idea.

I agree, if the situation seems to escalate or prolong you could find something like a counselor to help you communicate with your mum without getting yelled at, but first try an up front approach, approaching her with "ca we talk?" and simply talking things out and sharing emotions and thoughts could work wonders, believe me.
