Be confident in yourself. Don't do things that aren't you. That will help you make friends too. It sounds low, in a way, in trying to get a girl. If you force anything no decent relationship will come out of it.

You can't love another until you love yourself though. I experienced that first hand, and I was oblivious to the people who liked me.

It sounds more like you are having a problem letting someone go. You meet new people in the future and if they don't like you there is no way to force them to.

I'm guessing you already told them how you feel and they don't feel the same. Get over them and move on, you are probably blinded to the others who like you too. Stop being so hung up on a person who doesn't have feelings for you. It happens, move on.

I might be a bit more harsh since I recall you're age. You're having teenage problems. I also never had feelings for anyone before I was 20, since I never liked myself before then.

Also to be with someone, and in a meaningful relationship, you have to be yourself. You can't put on a facade, since it will fall apart in the long run. Main thing is confidence, but not to the point it's narcissism. Especially in the adult world, since people tend to look more for a stable partner that can help support them, not one who needs support. That is why you have to love yourself first as well. Once you do you should be content with being alone.

You will find a career path and have goals toward that path after you love yourself and have confidence in yourself. Others will recognize you too.

Honestly, be your truest self to find someone. 'Cuz that's what I think, its all about; having a best friend who loves you.

So try talking to people, and try not to necessarily 'look for someone', just go with the flow. You're still young!
