I'm currently finishing my 1st semester at university... and I hate it. I feel like I'm only wasting my time going to classes. I'm seriously considering dropping out, but what keeps me from doing it is that I honestly don't know what to do with my life if I'm not busy studying. Obviously my parents are both teachers, so growing up I never even considered doing something else. But I know that I can't keep this up. I even started having suicidal thoughts and skipping entire days because I have this feeling that I could be doing something better and more important.

But what can I do? There's always the typical "start your own business or start-up" but that doesn't sound appealing to me. I want to do something with my life that I get to feel proud of, and to never think that I would rather be doing something else...

I just wanted to vent a little and also ask about jobs I could take if I decided to drop out.

Too bad you dont like studying. It could have been fun and you could had used it for purposes that are much grand in the future. But if you really hated it, drop out. But for the sake of yourself and your parents, yes a job to pursue would be essential.

So what job? Honestly, what are your interests? Hobbies? Or even small habits you have. Focus on whats honestly you. And do some research on jobs available. You dont have to always do proper jobs honestly. If through online like making youtube videos is appealing to you, go for it. Just combine what you like to do and a platform. You can already start working so to speak.

Be sensible about the choices you make and you will be good.

Well to be honest if you dont like it you shouldnt do it you are an adult now noone should be able to tell you what do.
Listen...In the world that we now live in its essential to have a job in order to survive and it really sucks ass but there is nothing you can do about it.There has been an official youtube video about monatization rising again so if you fancy doing what you love and just uploading it soon you will have a "company"or "buissness"of your own to sustain your self.But the internet is huge not only youtube can provide you with money online...but with you not really giving info into your liking i think that maybe getting into a more detailed private converastion would be better

try to learn smth that u don't need to study, maybe coding. U must can do anything to survive nowdays. Eventually change ur university and try to "master" smth else, think what u can do, maybe u can for example earn for living by playing games (selling PoE orbs/Tibia accounts/WoW gold).
