I'm afraid to say that I am in a similar situation and never found my motivation.
But for you, the cause is probably stress, mental breakdowns etc. So whatever it is, sort it out by your own critical thinking or seek help somehow. Sorry, I couldnt really specify my points but yea thats pretty much it.
I really hope you can get back on track without all this negativity and get motivated to live.

Well, sometimes it's easier to work for others rather than yourself. Sometimes when you are stressed you start thinking about how life is pointless and all that shit xDD but consider people that you love. My motivation is my grandma - she's 80, and lives alone because grandpa passed away last year. She is so lonely all the time and I try to help but because we live far away all I can do is commit myself to calling her every day. But that's the key word - commit. My grandma always wanted the best for me and took care of me as a child, and she still does. She always tells me to work hard and live a successful life, and I always try my best because I remember her words every time I slack off. It's hard, but when you consider how much you love them, how much you want to make them proud, and in my case, how little time you have with them before you lose them, the ones you love can be your most powerful motivation. Good luck ~
