Okay so in my country the lgbt+ community has the right to get married and everything, but the people here are all a bunch of elitist homophobic assholes, so basically they ignore the law and attack everyone who doesn't fit in their heteronormative patterns. The thing is: recently the government created a law that forces all restaurants/bars/convenience stores etc to have a sign in them saying something like "safe place" and shit. One would assume that that is a FUCKING GREAT LAW that eventually will leade to TRUE EQUALITY TO EVERYONE, right?????????!!! But nooooooooo, cuz the daddy little champions/high class fuckers think this is a terrible idea that it's not gonna help anyone since THEY SHOULDN'T BE FORCED TO ENDURE "THOSE PEOPLE". Jfc I don't think I'd ever seen my human rights teacher so chocked. I'm so fucking angry. THIS IS WHY WE'LL NEVER BE A FIRST WORLD COUNTRY
