I personally became a member from Durarara, which I believe that its is what prompted everyone to join. I'm not sure what defines you as a Dollar member. But so far I'm just involve on this site. Other than that, its just me bragging about being the Dollars because of Durarara. Overall, I don't really have a purpose to be the Dollars, to be honest.

How about you people? What are your purposes?

i got the same reason as you. well this site is just a platform for me to contact with other dollar members. whether i act upon it really depends on myself. purpose wise, i suppose to make the world a better place by contributing bit by bit. the dollars is a good place to start tbh.

I joined because I like Drrr!! and I am depressed so this is a good place to vent. But I feel like we can be so much more than just that. We need to do something huge. Like in Drrr!! you know? Idk. I really feel like we could do so much.

But I view this as another social media site, just better than Facebook and whatnot. Instead of just links showing people who you are it's people actually writing more of who they are.

Also I wasn't the biggest fan of drrr. It was ok, but I won't watch it again or the continuation of it.

To be honest, I never saw the Dollars as a real gang.

And the whole thing with "the world isn´t as bad as you think" or whatever is rather wiffle waffle, for nobody is really able to make the world a better place.

When I joined first, I saw the Dollars as pure fandom.
Nowadays, I rather see it as a community, where you can meet interesting people. Comparable to >>5.
I don´t think you need a purpose to be a Dollar.

I joined the Dollars because of Drrr and I don't have a purpose too. I just wanted to meet others who also like anime as much as I do. And I'm so glad to be here!

The Dollars to me is just where durarara fans gather. In a way, also a separate organisation. I don't think a purpose is needed. You are the Dollars if you claim yourself as such. Whatever you actions are
as the Dollars, it doesnt matter.

Personally I came to talk to people when I shut myself inside. I love people but I'm a huge introvert. This is a great middle ground when talking face to face with people becomes to draining for me. I actually don't even come here for DRRR!. That's what I like about the Dollars the most. It's just a group of people.

Durarara brought me here. I stayed as a member for the sake of the satisfaction/entertainment of being a Dollar. But also information, so actions could be taken in the real world, which intrigued me.

I don't know you and I may never meet you in person. But if you truly believe yourself apart of this group then we're family. Dollars look out for one another when things get rough. There have been instances where GoFundMe pages were set up for people in an actual tight spot. This isn't a group for trolls or manipulative people, it's for us introverts, extroverts, loners, and party people to talk in a context we can understand each other in.

Durarara also brought me here but because of the way I see how people are with the Dollars my purpose is to just do some good things. The Dollars is a group that I can work for whenever I want. It's full of people that do good things but it isn't pushy. To be a Dollar is like how the anime describes it. We doddle around but we doddle while doing things. To be a Dollar is to be a Dollar. It's that simple

I simply watched Durarara!! Thus, I'm here. I just like the concept of the Dollars being useless. That's why I join, just to chill. But at times, of course, I could partake on a mission or something. What I like is that it is based on volunteering. I don't really have a purpose. I just enjoy the freedom here.

I joined the Dollars because of Drrr, but I really do enjoy it, and I constantly look in the community threads for people around me also in the Dollars, and I watch the news threads on here to find out things happening that could potentially hurt me or friends. It really is a great community. If you look around on here a little bit, you can see me often.

I joined after seeing Drrr! mainly because I want to know what other kinds of people were looking into the Dollars too. Just like the anime it really is just a melting pot of all kinds of people. It's a little comforting to know that with all the madness in the world there's a place where people can all just come and hang out without all the BS of reality. Well mostly, I do catch the occasional troll.
