Changing myself (2)

1 Name: Rei : 2017-08-03 11:28 ID:fGiIijtC [Del]

Hey! So I recently decided I need a change in my life and hopefully more positive but so far I've only gotten negative comments or complete shock...I've cut my hair into a style I've never had before and I quite like it but some so far haven't agreed (wait until they find out ima dye my hair in a week or two once I get the clear I won't get into trouble from school) i really need the change because looking at my current self reminds me of all the bad and negativity. I'm also gonna go back to wearing contacts which I haven't done since I was 15 so about 2 years. Decided I'd also chase my dreams although others like my mother already tell me I'm a failure and there's not much point because I can't reach my goals. The one thing I'm not sure I should tell people is that I'm into the same gender because my family won't take that very well and see only one person irl actually knows this and it happens to be the person I like and well I'm hoping after I'm done sorting my 'issues' out, that asking them to a date will work out so well just really wanted to get this off my chest and if people think that this is a good idea or not and if I should come out to my family? :/

Hey Rei, sounds like you're at a pretty stormy time in life (understatement of a lifetime). Ultimately these things are your choice. I may be wrong, but if you've come here with these questions you're probably looking for a specific answer. The answer that you want. If that's so then you already know what you should do. Be brave. I won't tell you what to do one way or another, but I will tell you this:

You are not a failure. I don't care if you drop out of school and live on the street, you are not a failure. I admire your journey out of negativity, it's a road that I'm all to familiar with myself. If you keep moving forward and never stop searching for better, you will get there.
