I've always been a weirdo and I'm trying to change that. I always fumble so sometimes I end up in embarrassing situations- like stepping on someone's feet when hugging them. I'm ending up having less friends and confidence. I also sometimes say things without thinking and because of all this I have been called a weirdo thousands of times. Can I change my awkwardness and people's impression of me?

It doesn't matter what people say just be you live your life to the fullest nobody is perfect we are all special in our own way

Don't worry about your "weirdness". Besides, I've discovered that the so called "weirdos" is life are the most interesting people. Whereas "normal" people are incredibly boring. If your looking to be less awkward though, perhaps you might want to start off with first listening more and talking less. While you are listening, try to form different things you might say in your head, run them through your mind filter to ensure that they're "appropriate" and then say it. I try to do this as often as I can and it does help quite often. Sorry if this is confusing, I wish you the best of luck :D

What I mean by less respect is some people ignore when you talk and are just mean

There will always be someone who calls you "weird", no matter what you do, no matter who you are - someone will always say you´re "weird".
Tell me, don´t you think of others sometimes to be "weird" too? Only to get to know you better, how would you define "normal"? Isn´t "normal" something defined by society? What is society? Average people, isn´t it? People tend to be wrong, otherwise they would be god. So you could bluntly say that every definition of "normal" society gives you might possibly be wrong. In that case there is no "normal", if there would be no "normal" there could also be no "weird".
In summary, it can be stated that nobody has the ability to judge whether someone is "weird" or not, because in fact "weird" doesn´t exist.
You might think I´m only here to make fun of you, but in fact I´m not. I only want to tell you that you´re not weird. Humanity is diverse and there will be someone who´ll think it would be "cute" when you step on someones feet while hugging. These persons will be individuals not only influenced and shaped by society´s standards - persons able to use their brains who won´t only judge on prejudices.
Just keep in mind that there is nothing like "weird" or "normal" - be yourself and be proud of being yourself and you´ll find someone who´ll start liking you.

And about the lack of respect... well, respect is rare. There are lots of people who lack respect - I don´t think that we are able to change this, unless you get stronger than they are and show them some respect but this is not always the best way... but de facto it is a problem that society lacks respect, I would totally agree!

"Weirdo" is a stupid term, and anyone who called you this and/or stoped being your firend becase you made a mistake is stupid. I know it can hurt sometimes but trust me, your not the only one who's gone through this. Lots of people would think someone like you is cool. (-:
