Is this normal? (5)

I am bored. I've never experience something like this before though. no games I play last more than a couple minutes, no friends or family give me any enjoyment at all, and many things I used to have interest in I just don't care for now. I'm not depressed but more like I just don't feel emotions all that much. Even pain seems dulled recently. Everyday I wake up, go to school, get good grades, come home, and just lay looking at the ceiling. I exercise fairly often and eat healthily but nothing is fun, sad, or annoying anymore. the only feeling I sometimes get is worry. I'm worried about what happens when I stop feeling anything at all...

It is to a degree normal. It happens to most people at various points in their lives. Some refer to it as feeling in a rut, or feeling melancholy. This type of feeling usually passes with time, but there are ways to pull yourself out of it too. Most of the ways I can think of involve gaining a form an adrinaline rush, like one would get from carnaval rides for example. Though this works on a case by case basis and may not be a long term solution. I just want you to know that what you are feeling is not that uncommon and a lot of people have dealt with it.

I hope something I said helps.

I had this when I was at school as well, I think everyone has this at some point (well most anyway) you will get through it, you just need a change. Once the term is over or you go to college etc things will change and you might find something that allows you to be more creative or sporty or whatever. Just hang in there buddy you will find something

First things first, depression is expressed in different ways for each person, not just feeling sad. One of the more common ways depression is expressed is not through feeling sad, but not feeling anything at all. I'm not a doctor, but that was how depression made me feel. Of course, this all depends on how long you've been feeling like this. If it's been longer than two weeks, I would suggest going to your doctor, because if symptoms of depression are present for over two weeks, then it is likely that you have depression. That being said, everyone feels bored from time to time. That's normal. I would suggest changing your schedule, and see if that makes a difference. If the feeling persists, then talk to your doctor.
