So, long story short, my brother ran away with his gf today. We found his truck, phone, her phone, their book bags, a few days worth of food, and some bedding material in his truck, but not them. On top of that, one of their friends has also gone missing, and after getting into my brothers phone, we found that he had asked this friend to take him and his gf out of our state. Everyone that knows them and is friends with them is claiming they know nothing and basically giving the run around. The police are involved, but my parents are a mess, to say the least. Me on the other hand, as bad as I feel this is to say, I don't feel that bad. It's more of an annoyance to me. What should I do to help my mom cope with this until we find my brother?

Hm..I have not been in this situation, but to an extent, I understand.Personally, I would try calming her by distracting her. Whether it be spa day, shopping, things she likes to do but things that won't make her re,her her son. You could also say that you know he is fine and she has nothing to worry about. I would recommend going online and watching a video or reading a site about comforting someone. i do not know your mother personally, so I cannot say how I would distract her.

give her a distraction perhaps? just dont remind her of anything about your brother...

We found him yesterday, I just wasn't able to get on cause I was exhausted lol. Spent the entire morning looking through trails in the woods near where we found his truck and the afternoon driving around town looking for them. All on one hour of sleep. I did read 2 and 3's suggestions, and I think it helped a little. My mom got more sleep then I thought she would. More then me, that's for sure. Thanks so much!
