I can't touch peoples skin (12)

Okay so for a while now, I get this strange feeling whenever I touch someone's skin. Because it's usually my hands that come into contact with people's skin, is the first I have noticed and the easiest to explain so ill start there. Whenever I touch people's skin with my own it makes me feel sticky(?) it feels like I've put soap on my hands to wash them, but I haven't washed it off. I feel the need to constantly wash my hands after contact with another person. I am a dancer and this makes it very difficult for me and it involves a lot of contact within the routines, especially Acro. That's the worst for me. Acro. I have to hold the responsibilty to physicals hold onto to someone so as for them not to fall and break their necks. I would tell my dance teacher that I feel uncomfortable but: a) it's really awkward and b) we have a dance show very soon and I can't just tell her to change the routines just for my slight (ok not slight, major) discomfort. Just two days ago I was given the responsibilty of having another girl stand atop my shoulders, she got up but I felt uncomfortable with her being up there and she ended up having to jump down and fell on her hands and hurt herself. There was another reason, however that is irrrelevent to this thread. I've been trying to research things on the internet, but I just can't find anything that's quiet right. The closest I have found is something called "tactile sensitivity" aka "tactile defensiveness" it sound about right, but I've never heard of this before and wouldn't like to skip to conclusions.

so if any one has any ideas as to what it could be, I'd greatly appreciate your input... thanks

Learn telekinesis, or ask Nathalie for wipes.

I guess you just have to live normally and wait for this to come to an end on its own.

Btw, I prefer to use bar of soaps because it feels less greasy.
If I use liquid soap, I have to thoroughly wash my hand because it feels more soapy and sticky.

Is this only in dance environments or does it happen with anyone like family? and have you always had this?

I don´t know much about dancing, and what about of force is needed to hold someone up, but can you wear gloves? And when normal gloves would look odd, or don´t provide enough friction, maybe there are nude coloured rubber gloves?

>>5 sounds like a good temporary solution. You can go to hardware stores and find one that's roughly your size then adjust.

>>1 Try visiting a dermatologist. They specialise in things related to the skin. If it's a major discomfort I'd say it's worth a shot.

If you don't like the glove idea, maybe try coating your hands in something powdery like baby powder before dancing. But before dancing just test with someone/something if it has a bit of friction and you're able to grasp things or hands.

Thanks for all your suggestions, I'll keep them in mind, but I am going to try and keep this problem to myself so as to not cause any inconvenience to others, however if I feel it needs to be said, I will do so. That would be the main reasons I disagree on the gloves

It is ultimately your decision, but never be afraid to reach out people who can help.

It's not an "inconvenience", it's part of being human.

wrap your hands with cloth or gauze, it may help due to the feeling of the wraps instead of the skin.

>>1 I can relate to your feel that you don´t want to cause any inconveniance, but isn´t it better to tell them about your problem? I mean, what happens when the reflex to pull your hands back becomes too strong? I think it would be better to find a solution with your dancing team, than risking that somebody gets hurt and canceling out of discomfort doesn´t sound too great either.

my sense of humor has to intrude and say: use gloves
