This is Izzy. He's the man who walked across America, several times. I d o n o t say any of this lightly and I cannot properly express the gravity of what I wish to convey, but I offer my all in these words:
This is a man of extraordinary human essence. His stories are that of legends, or old folk tales that you'd hear the villages of old western films detail in their lore. You can feel the sheer gravity-mass in the core of your being pulsate with every word he speaks. In his sincerity, and passion. He offers his soul to you, as if each breath is a swear oath to you, and his words are binding. This man's soul is big enough to flood the town with a memorizing cheer and loving grace.
I was sitting on a bench near the Marseilles bridge and we had talked of life and it's doings. We had talked for quite a bit, and he told me stories of his travels. I had known him for sometime since, and we had been very good friends. It's always a delight to see my pal Izzy.
He looked me in the eye and said to me "I'm going to walk across America. I think I'll go East, up to main. I haven't been out that way yet and I have good friends and family to see. I think it's time I pay my loved ones a visit." ( I'm paraphrasing, it was like a year ago, man. Cut me some slack. ) He then stood up, and I watched him as he walked over the bridge and out of town. I never saw him again. and believe me I looked.
That was summer of last year, back when Pokemon Go was a big thing that everyone was doing.
Now he's back.
He's a bit beaten and battered, because of his age. I certainly cant imagine the burden that would place on a 60 year old man. He had just walked back into town when I ran into him at the gas-station.
Needless to say, I made a scene.
... Izzy says he's sick. And that he's come back into town to die, because this is his home. When I heard that, I knew he was at peace. So I say to him "Izzy, if you're going to die, I'm going to get my fucking picture. and I don't give a shit how you feel about it".
and if you don't feel that I'm being entirely serious about absolutely all of this, know that I uploaded this photo (first ) completely unedited.
