okay to start I should say I do track and field, I do long jump, 100, and 400 (one lap around). I don't like sports. the only sport I truly love is Figure Skating, also and im too old to become good at that. i also love writing on Wattpad and i really want to be published. My dad is only happy with me when I win a track meet, or win something he wants me to do. I like running and exercising, because im doing crew next year. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but wheneer i run in competition i lose my breathe completely and my chest hurts really badly- so badly I'm almost crying. i try telling my parents this but they don't believe me. All i want is my dad to be proud of me, its the only reason i do this is so he will be proud of me. But when i mentioned not doing the track meet because of the chest pain thing, he got really mad at me. i wonder if he's ever thought that i don't like sports. i don't know what kind of advice anyone could give me, and i hope it wasn't THAT confusing because i know my grammar is terrible. i also have a lot of stresss in my life right now, between grades, my ex best friend, and other things.

i guess what i want to know is if anyone can relate to this and what they did about it.

I had similar situation in high school. I played football so my parents would be proud. I got injured and it came to me that I didn't enjoy it as much as I used to. My parents did get mad and remind me that I left. In the end life is to short to live for others, do what you want to do, if someone else doesn't like it then that's their problem.

I'm sorry to hear that. You should really tell someone about your breathing patterns when you run. It's very concerning and I'm positive people don't want you getting hurt. I recommend asking a doctor for your health. As for your father, please try talking to him about your situation once again. No parent wants to see their child injured. I'm very concerned because I don't want anyone getting hurt so please try you best to convince him.
I wish you the best of luck and I hope you'll be able to sort everything out!

You definatley need to get that checked out. It could be nothing, but if it is a serious medical condition, you need to know sooner rather than later. As for your parents, it is always hard to deal with over-controlling parents, because there isn't much you can do to stop them. Explain ton them how potentially severe this condition could be, and tell them they are being too overbearing. It will be difficult, and they may not listen, but you should at least try.
I wish I could do more, you can email me at hitsuji.dollars@gmail.com if you need more help.

He probably doesn't understand how you feel I would ask him to sit down with you one day and just talk about how you feel and if that doesn't work you can probably get emotional to make him understand you more the basic human response is to take listen and feel more for someone who is in tears
