Feeling guilty? (6)

I feel as if my parents favor me over my three other siblings because I'm the only one who does what they say without giving them an attitude. I am the second oldest (12 1/2 years old) while my older sister is 15 (lets call her D), my brother is 8 1/2(let's call him A) and then the youngest is 5 (let's call her L). So, one time when my cousin came down to NC for her wedding she made some type of drink (I forgot what it was, all I know was that it had alcohol in it) and D wanted to drink some since my mom doesn't drink but my mom yelled at D for trying to get drunk and started lecturing her about how that starts under age drinking and so D started crying saying how our parents always let me do stuff and all that. Then A made L cry so my mom came out and started saying "Why are you so f***cking annoying?! Always pissing off people! You, L, and D are always starting problems!" so that's when A started crying and D was getting an attitude to my mom on how I never get in trouble and how I always get favored while they all get the punishment. I want to tell my parents to stop but I'm an introvert so I'm shy so I wanna ask you guys how to tell my parents not to blame my siblings for all the stuff.

Parents can be unfair and sometimes it's hard for them to listen to their kids. First of all since you parent s are using language around a five year old is odd and uncalled for and some of the treatment you are describing is harsh, but it's not your fault. My mother used to do this to my older sister and finally I told Mother calmly that the way she was treating her was unfair and I started protecting my sister, the only thing really to do in the situation is try to calm down your parents and if that doesn't work then be there as support for your sibling... I'm sorry if this doesn't work, I'm just trying to help. I hope everything gets settled out in your house

Sounds like your parents have very poor parenting skills. I'd say that in this situation, try to become closer with your siblings and become a good example for them. Don't be condescending and try to replace your parents for them, but just support them.

Hay, i can relate to you. My parents seem to favor me more than my brother who is 15, and he has a disability, but he is always arguing with my parents and i dont really know what to do. But i figured out what helps me. I dont know if it will help you, but when things get rough, i just remove myself from the situation and go into my room and turn up the music. Then your parents will see that the situation is uncomfortable and try to work things out. Thats what works for me, so you can try and find your own happy place when things turn in the wrong direction. I hope i was helpful. You got it!
