Her hands shake like a leaf in the beginning of fall.
Their original color changing to a deep red.
Slowly the splashes drip onto the concrete as the leaf falls from it's tree.
As she slowly closes her eyes, beckoning for the end to take her, she's grabbed roughly by him.
The wind whips up the fallen leaf seconds before it touches the ground.
Urging it to keep its fluid movement
"Silly wind," thought the leaf.
"Eventually you'll die down and so will I, such is the faith of someone like me."
"No matter what heights you take me to, a leaf without its tree is destined to fall."

This pulsating madness,
the mad rush for joy
This sickening desperateness,
the misplaced hope for a future
The devil waits in the wings,
tapping his cloven hooves.
The fruits have never been riper
for the picking
Hope flickers in on fragile wings
(Apparently Pandora's Box wasn't sealed)
Down there, among the masses,
among the high-pitched whine
of the misbegotten
is a crimson leaf
left suspended in the bitter air
by a single spiderthread
What will make the spider
wind up the thread?

it begins with a choice
