I have been having problem connecting with someone emotional. I have turned off my emotions for about 2 years now. I was in a serious relationship around that time. She was amazing, always cared and listened to my problems. But I really stuck cause I dont feel anything about anyone really anymore. To be honest I dont know if I care about my own family. Does that make me a monster or can it be that I dont know what makes me truly happy other then(videos games and cookies). I am afraid that I am never going to be happy or feel for someone like I did for my ex.

You sound a lot like somebody I know. I know it can be really tough. I'm not all that good in the relationship department, believe me. Someday, sooner or later, you will find someone to connect with on an emotional level. You can write about how you feel, sort through your emotions instead of bottling them up.

Its even hard for me to write them down sometimes. Last night I was going to burn all the stuff my ex gave me. But I know that wont help me move on any faster.

Getting rid of all to do with your ex won't solve a thing. Instead, embrace it. Keep it all. Just think of it as a keepsake, a memory, to remind you of the time with your ex but to give you the hope to strive for better. I keep a picture of me and my ex. I remember how I felt when that picture was taken, and it makes me want to have those feelings again, but with someone else, sometime soon, or sometime in the future.

Thanks. It is really good to talk to someone about this kinda stuff even if its a stranger but us dollars are more than that. I will seek my answer of what makes me happy and if it is a picture or the smell of her then I will accept that.
