Help me which to choose (12)

I'm an undergrad looking for internship. It's pressuring me how everyone's been accepted to companies and I'm left out. But last night, two companies heard my prayers. Now I don't know much about them two so I'm doing some research. Problem is, I don't know which to choose. They look both productive and good companies.

The 1st company requires me to send a bunch of requirements and letters from the dean/adviser and stuff, so I can't work on those until Monday (it's Saturday here). It requires me to send a validated ID and my ID looks poopy right now (like, blurred face and all) and it requires to send a recent photo. Having a new ID and recent photo requires money here at our place and my parents don't have money right now, but my aunt supports me with studying, so perhaps she'll give me some for this requirements. But I'll only see her during Sundays. That's tomorrow. On the email from the 1st company, it looks like they're hands on towards their interns, they seem warm and friendly, and it seems like I'm going to learn a lot from them.

The 2nd company sent me a mail just saying that they're accepting interns and that I should just send my resume. Pretty quick and easy.

Now my first love is the 1st company but the 2nd one isn't so bad, too.

I'm thinking that if I send a resume on the 2nd company and that they schedule an interview, and that I get accepted, I won't be having a chance to get in to the 1st company. Of course it's not really for sure if I'll get accepted, but what if?

Should I wait and send requirements to the 1st one or go ahead and send a resume to the 2nd one?

I think you should always go with the jobs that you overall feel like you'd enjoy more, even if the first job requires a bit more, they aren't asking for too much from what I read. Make sure that if it's not guaranteed that the second offering knows you're still interested

>>2 Yes it doesn't ask for too much, but the problem maybe lies to our school. Just to have an ID renewed, you have to go to a lot of process and sometimes the school just cut the line of students off and making the students bounce to and fro D: It's just from my classmates' experience tho, and I don't know if they changed the system already. Hope they did.

So should I send a resume to the second company then...? Or..?

Give it your best! And btw, try to be prepared for your interview or first meeting but remember that no matter what the unexpected might happen so just keep calm and be cool :)

If I were you, I would send your info to the second company, and get their response. Meanwhile, you should also try to get your things together for the first company, that you really want to go to. If the second company accepts you, you can start doing your internship there. Once you have all the material the first company asked for, send it to them. If you eventually get accepted to the first company, then you can just leave the second company, saying that you've found another company that has offered you an opportunity more in line with your skills and career goals, or something like that. If you aren't accepted to the first company, then you can just keep on doing your internship at the second company.

>>5 Thank you so much for the tip! I'll try to be calm and cool but since anxiety is my best friend.

>>6 if only we can do that. In here, they say we students can't back out from once we got accepted or else it'll be a bad name for our university. But thank you for your advice!

You should try your best to get into the first and go through the steps to do so if you really have your heart set on it. You could then use the second company as a back up, should the first fail.
