Refusing to Eat (4)

1 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-30 17:21 ID:kAj7Whpw [Del]

Lately I've been refusing to eat. I get hungry but eveything is just unappealing or tastes bad to me. I started eating once a day just to shut my stomach up. I'm just not happy when I eat food anymore, it feels more like a task and a hassle. Even my favorite foods I don't want. I have been very angry and upset with the way things are right now but I still would like to eat. The problem is I'm not enjoying it. The problems I'm having right now won't be fixed quickly, and some won't ever be. I'm not looking forward to months of this. So what the heck? I don't want to develop some kind of eating disorder or be someone who eats just so they stay alive.

Hi
Have you tried eating new foods, or something you haven't ever thought of eating, maybe you'll find something you like?

You could try drinking instead of eating. You could drink healthy smoothies with protein powder and chia seeds. Those will help give you the nutrients you need. Be sure that they have a fruit and a vegetable. You need to have a healthy balanced diet.

Just a suggestion.

Let me add that I am not a health expert. You should talk to your doctor.

It's very normal to lose your appetite for long periods of time when you're going through some rough times. And by long periods I mean it could be months or even years. It's not really an eating disorder, it's more that you're just not as happy in general because of whatever is happening in your life, so you don't find as much enjoyment in eating either.

So I'd focus on just cheering yourself up more with whatever, and that will help not only your life's distresses, but also make you feel happier in general and when you're eating. I know it's a lot easier said then done, but just try doing things you like, relaxing, watch a movie idk.

And I don't know what you're going through in life that you're angry or upset about, but remember that many problems may seem gigantic and disastrous right now, but give it some time and you'll likely realize that the problems you face aren't as, well, problematic as you may have thought before.

Anyways, I wish you the best of luck.
