Girl broke up today and I'm a total mess, wont be getting any sleep tonight, and depression has intensified.

Get a hobby. Or cultivate the one you have. It is hard, and it's gonna be. But you will be alright :) How long was your relationship?

Are there any hobbies you like to do? Keeping busy might help you a little bit even though you have to confront yourself with what happened and try to accept it even if it is hard. What might help a bit is jogging to burn off some emotional stress, keeping the contact with a view good friends close and setting little goals even if it's omething really small like laking care of your hygiene and keep eating right, cleaning your place and stuff like that. Just one hour and if an hour is too much than one minute at the time. Step for step. (It helped me a bit so maybe it'll work for you as well). Please stay away from pills, aclohol and stuff like that because it doesn't help to cope with a situation like that. If you wanna talk about what exacly happened feel free to do so. Please take care of yourself and I'm here to listen if you feel like talking.

We were together for allmost a year, things were looking so well, and she just drops the nuke on me out of nowhere. I do allready have a few hobbies, I just suck at taking care of myself, when I'm down.

Man that sucks that she did it like that... and what I’m going to say might sound harsh but if she's acting like this it's not with agonizing over things like "why" and "how could this happen". Please keep going for yourself even if it's hard. The way you write you seem like a cool guy and I’m sure you can pull through this.

Hm what about making a little written list of daily things that have to be done like eating (healthy if possible). It doesn’t have to be something special. Some noodles or a sandwich and a view fruits (or a fruit juice) for vitamins are enough. Then showering, shaving and so on so you have a little routine to follow every day. When it's totally quiet some 10 hours nature sounds videos or a funny audiobook might help a bit when you want to fall asleep.

Most of the time grieving and being sad is a part of the progress too so if you feel like crying at the start it's okey, don't lock it up inside. But try to remember you have people here who support you so if you feel like talking about how things are going or need advice you can always talk about it here.

That really sucks... I think you should try to deal with your emotions, it's okay to cry and feel down! When I broke up I hated my ex for a while and then moved on. Whatever helps.. And remember, there's nothing wrong with you, you guys were not just meant to be forever. I'm sure you will find someone right for you!

Thanks for the calming words to everybody, just gonna spend some time being down, meanwhile, I luckely have school and a few hobbies.... And as for finding the right one, she can find me if anything, can't be bothered for a while at least.
