Depression presentation (9)

1 Name: Hitsuji : 2016-11-16 09:01 ID:/o9U4aXG [Del]

I'm doing a depression presentation for psychology class, and I know a lot of the dollars have experienced or are experiencing depression, what kinds of things do you want people to know about it? Are there things I should address that are more helpful than others to potentially help people with their own hidden depression?

It is as close to torture as you can get in the civilized world

It is hard to handle it on your own. You should be aware that you need help and your friends should try to help you, otherwise you are pulled in a dark hole and maybe never come back. I believe that is what I've needed the most, people to talk about it, people I was able to have fun with and which showed me why life is that beautiful. It was a girl who saved me and I even did not know her, but she filled my heart with joy. That's it.

And thank you Hitsuji that you asked us and try to make people aware.

And, to make it worse, if the psychologist or psychiatrist doesn't suffer from conic depression, they will automatically just assume it's anxiety and not pay attention to the rest of the symptoms. (Personal Experience)

never mix religion with mental illness, idiots will try to pray it out and talk about the devil, demons etc. (I personally experieced this, I lived with religious people, and they would treat me like shit, if I did'nt pray hard enough, or was'nt motivated enough about life, while I was suffering from depression.)

I should write a book.... Or simething

From personal experince i would say ((jealousy)) i had a crush on girl and there was a guy saying dirty jokes with her and seeing them laughing and saying more jokes almost everyday was something make me sick with depression so jealousy is what you looking for.

once you get depression you will start to live in hell and start to think about the options you could do to avoid this Disaster , so i could say that do everything to safe yourself from this.

also i would say that try to avoid shutting down your feelings , what is this? its when you actually feel dead or almost dead.

if there something the people have depression like mostly it would to talk with others , let others start to talk with them and not the depressopn people do it because they (and i do) feel like im just annoying people and no one would actually want to talk with me.(it better if you didnt the depression person about it so he dont feel he getting attenchin just because he is needed)

sorry for my english and good luck too.

In the case of depression, more often than not; the subject will only ever think that they are at their breaking point. Every single time.
The thing is that; deep down, they will know that it isn't the end. Whether they've been through worse or acknowledge that there is still worse to be met.
-but the utmost thing they'll take away from any experience is that they need to feel that pain; the darkness in the moment so that they can see that which elevates them to greater revelations.

One common thing I find with depressed people is a constant fear of inadequacy. I won't say this happens to everyone but a lot of people believe they have to look a certain way, act a certain way, and like certain things in order to be loved and accepted. When some don't succeed at these things, they take it to heart and will start hating themselves with a voice in the back of their mind saying "You'll never be good enough." People need to understand that it's okay to be yourself and like what you like and you don't have to be someone you are not to be accepted.

thank you everyone for your responses. All I had to go off of was psychiatric websites, and those didn't seem to show the experience very well, and felt like they wouldn't help anyone struggling with it.
