This is probably gonna seem rather pathetic to be upset about...but I've had a lot of family issues lately...and my first fish I brought with my first pay check...got sucked up by the new filter my dad brought for the tank even though I said the one we have no is good enough for the tank....my boyfriend is also the one that named if and joked that it was our first child together....now I have to tell him that it died...I feel like he'll be mad about it because he generally asks me how it's doing...it was also the fish I brought so my other fish Emo had a friend...I probably shouldn't be upset over something like this...it does seem really stupid...but if my dad had of listened to me it would of never happened...or atleast if he brought a low powered filter as the high powered one he brought is meant for a larger tank...

It's not your fault and your bf won't be mad but mostly likely sad about it. It happens. Don't worry yourself too much.

You should have been the one to bought the filter then your father won't make that mistake and also just buy another fish if you don't want your boyfriend to get upset or just tell him the truth and face the problem
