THAT SOUNDED LIKE IM IZAYA BUT IN ALL HONESTY I DIDNT KNOW HOW TO TITLE THIS SO HERE WE GO.

I'm a 16 year old living in Michigan right now and I want to go into the film industry but have no clue where to start. Actually.
That's a lie.

I have SOME idea of where to start, i know I wanna avoid wasting money on film school, and I know basic cinematography and imaging, frame composition, and ALOT, of editing techniques because I have done some professional media for companies like ROCCAT gaming and Cloud 9.

BUUUTTTT I want to delve deeper, I want to actually get onto a set with ahnds on experience and see what its like to actually shoot a film. SO HERES WHERE I NEED YOUR HELP

Does anyone know if there are any films being shot in Michigan (around Detroit) that need volunteers to make the movie happen? I truthfully don't know where to start searching right now. Im willing to do anything even if it just running around grabbing coffee and food for people, I just need any way to get onto a set.

I don't know of anything in Michigan, but there's a lot of work in Atlanta. Great place to start if that's the direction you want to go in.

Well what you can do is start up on your own too and have a couple of friends help you produce something. I helped a friend in school for that before. I even help provide for her or used the camera when she need me to do it. Your own set can be expensive and sorry to say but school is like a big way to go about on it. The other way is to produce something your self and it works out okay. Remember too the people that'll be helping you have to be as serious and give credit for too if you do end up doing so that way. You can even have someone possibly studying that help you as well but you might have to follow that person league too y'know if they're more exp or help you out. Then you basically have to show your work to the production on what you worked on and what you aim for to continue. Hopefully that lit your bulb.
