Our class has been a hell lately... not because of school works, but because of the things happening in our class AND one of our college instructor, is being bias. Our college instructor is currently handling 3 of our major subjects, so it feels like we have to go through hell every time that she sees us. The way she talks to us are waayyy more aggressive than those students who like her.

It's a very long story, and up until now it still hasn't finished...

She had a problem with our class friend (let's call her Nin. Not her true name) and called her "stupid" and "foolish". Nin tried to ask her if they could talk one-on-one and apologize. But her reply? "I DON'T HAVE TIME TO TALK TO YOU." WTF? She even assumed that she's being a bad influence to us and we were starting to act different "because of her". Our grades were getting low "because of her". Me and my other friend (call her Lyn. Not her true name) consulted to her the next day, but what did we get? Shouts and harassment. INSIDE A DIFFERENT CLASSROOM SHE WAS HANDLING. Her voice was so loud the students who we didn't even knew heard about her rants. She said that she wouldn't care if her students were sick or in a hospital taking care of their family member (Lyn got hurt from that because her Dad is in the hospital). All she wants is our outputs. She said that she was disappointed with us two because we "didn't care about our other classmates." She said that it was her who made this issue worse. When she SHOULD'VE TALKED TO HER ONE-ON-ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE AND NONE OF THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED.

I wasn't supposed to get involved here, but the instructor just couldn't handle her students well. Its like when one of her students got a problem with her, she wouldn't confront them, instead, she gives them harder tasks than anyone else and if the student couldn't comply with her given tasks, she would blame him. And she would add that "This student is a show off." She added that she'll go as far as showing off four of her diplomas that she got from different majors. Ugh.

One time during my defense on one of her subjects (my topic was about people who see anime characters eat a lot. broad ik) She looked at one of my surveys and asked me why were my results in the "Top Anime characters that people always see eat a lot" are all MALES. This was how the convo went like... (non-verbatim)

Inst: Why is it that in YOUR survey there's an image of Sailor Moon when on your top anime characters there are no female characters?

Me: I don't know, Ma'am that was their-- [I was about to say that it's up to the respondent on what they will answer, and the images that I put in the survey were just examples but she suddenly interrupted me.]

Inst: No! Don't tell me you don't know! Why did you put Sailor Moon in your survey you pointed out one female character but in your results, there are no female characters?

Me: Because it wasn't in the top, Ma'am (still pointing at my results)...

Inst: It wasn't in the top? Seriously? She's the very first female character who got popular. And you say that it's NOT popular? You're being BIAS! [I never even said that she wasn't!]

Me: Those were my respondent's answers, Ma'am... [I couldn't concentrate that much anymore]

Inst: BUT YOU INCLUDED IT HERE! IF YOU BELIEVE THAT SAILOR MOON IS NOT A TOP ANIME CHARACTER, WHY DID YOU INCLUDE IT HERE?

Me: Those were just examples for my survey, Ma'am.

Inst: EXAMPLE? You're making an example and you don't want it to recognize with your data? What kind of a researcher are you? Of course when a respondent sees this picture, they should have written it there!

You must not be subjective in your research. You're only doing what you WANT! And if you're saying that you're subjective--you did not research. You just presented what you WANT! And it is NOT a study. [She was shouting all the time]

At this point, I couldn't say anything but to show no weakness... But deep inside SHE WAS ALREADY GETTING ON MY NERVES AND I WANT TO FLIP THOUSANDS OF TABLES TO HER STUPID HEAD. SHE NEVER LISTENS TO HER STUDENTS NO MATTER HOW GENTLE YOU FUCKING APPROACH HER.

And then few minutes later she said something ridiculous and unprofessional. She told everyone that "When a man sees a woman binge eat, THEY GET TURNED OFF! Why? BECAUSE IT'S GROSS! That why when I eat a lot, I'd hide 'cause if they see me eating a lot they would say 'she's such a beautiful lady but she eats a lot and that's gross'"

WHAT KIND OF AN INSTRUCTOR WOULD EVEN SAY THAT??

She asked what major was the other instructor who answered my survey. When I told her who it was, she said that he "is a Mass Communication major and is NOT an artist." When THAT COURSE IS UNDER COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES. He can also draw AND knows how to graphic design. How can she say that he's not an artist? She should be thankful I didn't tell him that.

After my defense it was my other classmate's turn (he was not being angered by our instructor) and all I could hear from her when he'd commit a mistake was laughter,a smile, and an "it's okay" response. His topic lacked something too, but she didn't shout at him like she did during my defense!

We already complained about it to the DEAN AND FACULTY CHAIRPERSON a month ago before this happened. They said that they will do something about it. But did everything change? NO! Because when the chairperson talked to her, she told him that the issue "was already okay for me" and all she wanted was our outputs. Fucking hell. And even our other college instructors tried to help us by talking to her so many times, but all they said was "she never listened".

I really wanna transfer out of this school now. But I can't since we don't have money for that and I only have 1 and a half year left until I graduate and get my diploma. Plus, we have to support Nin since she was the one who noticed something wrong with that teacher. 'Cause often times she gives us wrong information. My mom said that my grades will not matter anymore. And at this point, no matter how worse our emotional pain have gotten, we still have to comply with the tasks.

It seems like youve already done everything that you could. You might want to try complaining a few more times and your parents making a more formal kind of complaint? idk how exactly that kind of stuff works.
And she seems unreasonable. Its usually best not to try to reason with unreasonable people because... well, it most likely wont help and only get them madder. From my experience, ignoring and just agreeing with everything they say is the best option even tho it feels cowardly and if you are that kind of person it might be hard for you to stand doing something you are against.
But unfortunately you are going to meet a lot of unreasonable people in life...
I dont think there is much that can be done in this situation if the higher ups dont do anything, but hey, you can hope and have fun with other things!

You're kinda stuck with her until at least the end of the semester. Just try and pull through it. In the meantime, you can go onto Rate my Professors and advise people not to take her class. Prevent other people from having to deal with what you're dealing with.
