I've lived in the same house for all my life (15 years) I'm constantly overhearing my parents talking about moving to a new state. Help. I have such a good life where I'm at. When I try to talk to them about it they change the subject.... What do I do?

I don't know, I moved around a lot through the majority of my childhood (around 3-5 times). Even from places I liked. I think it'd help you grow as a person honestly. Well I've never actually moved to a different state though, different cities yes, but not different states.

I'd say, go for it. You'd probably hate it at first, but it'll be fun (or atleast feel normal) in the end (hopefully).(Don't listen to me, I suck at advice and this just my personal opinion not based on any research...)

I really do feel you with the situation you're in.

I moved states when I was turning 10. Maybe it's not as big as 15 years but I have an old sister who had to move with us when she was 18. She cried once and for her I can imagine it being hard to adjust. It was even worse because our parents would take us back to our home state for every term holiday and I'd cry most of the time.

But the experience was sad and good at the same time. I was confused, but I didn't want to leave where we were now. I've lived here for 11 years now and see it better than my home state.

But it's a shame now, because I have to move back again. It's sad when you settle in one place finally but have to move again. People are selfish. I won't say try to convince your parents not to move but be as firm as you can in getting a response.

Because when children grow up, the one thing that creates them is the home they live in. The more times you move, the more identities you create, and the more difficult it becomes to know who you are.

I've lived in 9 different houses in the past 19 years. It breaks you, but learn to remold yourself. Just because you know you're moving, don't let opportunities go.

I was about to do that since I only have 3 months left till I have to move again, but I didn't. I'm joining club activities, I'm hanging out with friends, I'm exploring places and I'm learning about myself.
