Overly Sensitive? (5)

Ok, I tried looking this up all over the internet and couldnt find any information. But I have this problem of whenever I go to my local barber shop to get my hair cut. So I'll sit where they want me to, and I am completely ok with people cutting my hair. But as soon as the scissors gets withing 5 inches of my face or neck, my spin sends chills (and kind of tickles me? Idk). And I am MUCH worse when it comes to the buzzers (or shavers idk what y'all call em) I just can't stop moving in the seat because of it. And it really makes the people doing their job more stressed. This also happens when they wash my hair, it really sucks.

Does anyone else experience this? Or have an answer for it?

Have you ever looked into Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)? It's common on the Autistic spectrum, but not exclusive to it. You may have heightened senses that trigger when you're getting a haircut, which is actually very common with SPD.

It sounds like ASMR, but in a bad way. Want more information about it? It's hard to explain.

don't make him so worried that something is wrong. to be honest it is natural for you to feel chills when something or some one approaches those areas call it survival instincts yours are just a bit sharper than most. It is not something to treat or change think of it as a built in warning system! In the end it is something special.
